Duplex 2205 Pipe

The cheapest of stainless steel pipes contain mostly iron, and these are called ferritic; also known as the 430 stainless. And there is another kind that is called austenitic; also known as the 304 stainless. Duplex 2205 pipe is something that addresses some corrosion issues in both these types. The features of Duplex 2205 Pipe
The specific mixture contains high ratio of nitrogen and chromium to strengthen the 2205 Duplex Tubing. These pipes provide higher toughness and corrosion resistance. Due to the characteristics, these can be used in applications like watering channels without the threat of corrosion. The high ratio of chromium and nitrogen also makes it much suitable for welding properly. Duplex 2205 pipe costs a bit more than other types due to the element composition needed to make it.

Duplex 2205 Seamless Pipe
Duplex 2205 Seamless pipe contains threads at each end so that any number of pipes can be joined to each other without welding them together. This is useful in applications where welding is physically difficult or not preferred. In conditions where the space is limited to install and the exterior needs to remain seamless, this type of pipe can be used.

Duplex 2205 Welded Pipe
Duplex 2205 welded pipes are welded together to make longer lines of pipes. These pipes have a slightly different mixture to the duplex 2205 seamless pipe so that they have some corrosion cracking resistance.  Also they remain tough, stainless and corrosion resistant even after welding. These are preferred in applications where permanent fixtures with corrosion cracking resistance is necessary.
